Tim Tozer

Born in 1969 in Portsmouth, Tim Tozer attended the Winchester School of Art and received his BA in Fine Art from the University of Ulster at Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1994, Tozer moved to the U.S. upon receiving the Andy Warhol Scholarship for study at the New York Academy of Art. Since earning his MFA in painting, he has taught at numerous locations in the US, including the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he is currently an Associate Professor in painting and drawing. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is represented there by the Groveland Gallery.

Although he has lived and worked in the United States for more than 20 years, his work is informed by memories of the English coastline where he grew up as well as the Welsh locations he often visited.
