Bev Howe

From her studio in Cardiff, Welsh Artist Bev Howe creates highly atmospheric works on classical themes, which she paints with a light touch and sensitivity for the subject. Her work invites the viewer to revisit a painting time and again to explore and enjoy its nuances. Bev counts among her influences the work of comtemporary artists such as Richard Estes in depicting everday subjects in a realistic, representational manner. Underlying her works are a strong sense of anatomy and a classical treatment of form. She strives to capture light, mood and natural beauty of her subjects.
